AKKURT was established in 1974 as the producer of plastic plumbing equipment and in short time became the largest manufacturer in Turkey. AKKURT materials were well-known with its TEMA brand in the market for a long time.
Over time, this brand has become the name of the Company and TEMA was established to provide marketing and after sales support services for its customers.
TEMA constantly aimed to provide more modern and high quality products to its customers and in this respect; in 1997 a joint-venture was established with one of Europe’s leading organization a French company SIAMP Monaco. Tema has increased the awareness with the partnership with SIAMP Monaco and SIAK was established in at the same roof of TEMA.
With the production of evolving technology machines, the company not only limited themselves with quality but also steeped up the production. In this respect the manufacturer company KAMET was established under TEMA Brand. With the production range of shower sets as well as the bathroom accessories, TEMA continued to grow every day.
Performing an increase on sales of the domestic markets as well as the DIY stores, PROTED was established to reach more audience of TEMA. Having the experience in the business, TEMA brand was to be seen in the Turkey’s most popular and leading DIY stores such as: KOÇTAŞ, BAUHOUS, TEKZEN, and METRO.
As major player in the sanitary equipment market, SIAMP and TEMA have been continually striving to improve the viability, the efficiency and the design of their products. Toilet seats, cisterns, flush valves, float valves, drainage, mounting frames, solutions for less able bodied people, for cladding, for maintenance or ventilation, shower systems, bathroom accessories, faucets and siphons: SIAMP and TEMA design manufacture and distribute a large range of products and systems for bathroom and toilet equipment.
TEMA GROUP, in parallel with its international growth strategy, made an investment in Kiev, Ukraine in 2000 and in the year of 2012 Thessaloniki, Greece. In short time since their inceptions, TEMA UKRAINE and TEMA HELLAS companies offered TEMA SIAMP brand products as well as well-known international brands and have embraced an important role in the sector of their regions.
