KAYA, established in 1980, started re-structuring activities in 1996. Along this activity, it started ISO 9001:2000 quality management system and applies its total quality to all its employees, suppliers, dealer and customers. Additionally, KAYA raised its position to the level of the most advanced countries obtaining 89/686/EEC personal protective equipment directive quality certificate. Again in products, product design registration certificates, CE certificates, type approval certificates, TSE certificates, production permission certificates, NATO stock numbers were obtained. More focus is placed on R&D on product and production technologies, occupational training projects, market research and strengthening relations with the sector.

Information, experience and developed competencies as a result of these activities helped KAYA refresh self-confidence and sources to create new and fundamental advancement and started in 2005 “Re-structuring and Development Towards 2005 Project”.
